Speech summary -Raj-

My speech is tittle is Hollywood movies influences teenagers to practice pre-marital sex. My stand on topic was against pre-marital sex in hollywood movies. Movies these days are interesting and have unique storyline as it is enjoyable to watch, the modern era has brought many changes to movies storyline, scenes, graphics and the movie flow. The changes are made as time goes on according to the modern world but the tradition of movies never change it is still practiced, the types of tradition which said is movies which has a lot of sexual content it terms of the scenes. Example of movies such as American pie, obsessed and jenifer's body, there are many more movies which contains sexual scenes but most of it practices pre-marital sex which influences viewers and its not really a good idea. Pre-marital sex causes alot effects and it leads to abortion too sometimes, hollywood movies shall try to reduce or abolish pre-marital sex scenes as it brings a negative idea to viewers

Comments on Jasnitha's persuasive speech

I knew jasnitha since the 1st semester as we join in the same intake but we was not so close but i watch her close by and we shared same subjects, when it comes to presentation we can see each other based on how they do and evaluate them within ourselves. This is our 4th semester and i can tell u presentation skill subject is really helping her out, she don't quit present well in normal classes but based on her recent speech, i can tell that she gained skills in giving speech and stage fright. She used to be scared and nervous coming up in front of many audience but now she really owe's Ms. Cheryl big time. Not bad Jasnitha you are improving but there is minor mistakes you have to repair like breathing properly while presenting or giving speech, pls dont suffocate, cause it scares the audience. Be more confident instead and speak louder so that it would grab the attentions of the audience, because the facts you have attracts people especially me! Keep it up Jasnitha and sorry if i said anything wrong but i was meant to make you a better speaker and improve.

Self reflection -Raj-

Haha my speech reflection, before i start i would like to thank ms.Cheryl for coming up with an idea of own speech reflection because i get to say how i did in my presentation rather then complaining  and  mumbling to to myself. Honestly after did the presentation i felt so bad and i felt like it was this speech is going to fail me. I think the speech i prepared was persuasive but the way i presented was totally out of my context. I din expect  my self to do so bad, and it was my worst presentation ever. The reasons behind my failure of persuading the audience is 1st lack of presentation skills, 2nd pressure by seeing others doing so well, 3rd running out points, 4rd is creating a cue cards for myself. Im sorry to say but cue cards are not meant for people like me, as i would like to speak or present spontaneously. Im used to presenting spontaneously and not focusing on supporting materials like paper, picture or cue cards. I figured this out in my persuasive speech, i tried using cue cards because i simply wanted to try how it is like to use it while giving a speech. Over confidence was another main factor which caused failure of persuading, when everyone was giving speech i was like i can do like them and i might do better. I was telling myself  " haha your RAJ la u can do dont worry " and afta the speech i told myself do not assume all the time. Honestly i felt so sucky after the speech, im very sure that after this, ill never ever repeat the same mistake and do 10 times better. The topic i choose was also not so strong to persuade my target audience so i guess choosing a right topic plays a big role too.
The next time i stand infront of my audience, im very sure the same mistake will not be repeated. Im going to be well prepared and no more cue cards cards, over confidence is a big no anymore. Thank you so much ms. Cheryl and ill make you proud in my next speech and be a good speaker.
