The negative effects about how media portrays beauty in people.

The media has been portraying beauty of men and women very fictitiously. The unrealistic images we see in the media about what is beauty has caused negative effects on us which some of us might deny is affecting us. This "perfection" from what the media portrays is what we try to achieve to some extent. We are being fed ideas to what beauty is and we act accordingly. From this, social problems has arisen from how we think about ourselves physically. To help broaden people's minds and appreciate how we look, we need to change how the media portrays beauty as. This is how I feel we should approach the problem.
Do you think you're fat? What makes you think you are? :)

Survey:

1.) Do you think that most of the women, female celebrities and models portrayed in the media are beautiful? Why?

2.) Do you think the media has an accurate representation of beauty? Why?

3.) Would you change yourself to become what is portrayed as beauty in the media? Why?

4.) How often are you influenced to buy products, or follow a behavior, from the women, female celebrities
and models you see in the media?

5.) Do you think we need to change what the media defines beauty as? If Yes, why?

comment about Sam

I’m gonna have a brief comment of what I think of Sam. Sadly, I was present for only one day for the presentation skill class and the other day I was absent due to my terrible cold which would mean I missed a number of people presenting their awesome speech J I’m sorry miss L I chose Sam cause somebody already pick Amelia, so 1st come 1st serve L what I thought of Sam's presentation was, I thought he wasn't nervous at all cause I could see the way he stand and the way he talks were all very cool. But somehow, I feel that his voice is a little bit mono-toned which, I think, could be improved. Although this is an impromptu speech, Sam knows what he was saying but I feel that it was a little bit drag-ish. Well that’s what I feel, again, nothing personal. To conclude, I honestly think Sam has the potential to be a good speaker, he just needs to touch up a little.
