Brand Positioning: Caesar

I'm Caesar. Not Caesar the actor nor the emperor. I'm Caesar by heart, Caesar by the act. Therefore, I'm branding myself as Caesar.

This is not my speech draft, this is not a delusional blog post. This is all about who I am base on online and I'll dig a few secrets of mine.

First statement of impression: Arrogant.
† Ignorant is a bliss and yes, I believe in the quote yet many have stated me as an arrogant person. Why arrogant? Why not friendly? Because I tend to not talk to people who ask me questions that already been written down on my profile (Myspace.)

† Like for example, "What's your name?" "Where are you from?" or "How old are you?" - these questions I shan't reply because I've already stated on my page. And again, if they asked, I'd ignore and ignore till they send a last word saying "arrogant".

† Probably I sound rude but that's me. I don't reply to questions that you already know. And due to the year that I've started using Myspace, people labeled me as hot stuff, which in terms for Myspace is "famous and many friend requests". I do not accept that label like how a superstar labels herself as a diva.

I tend to keep my pages (Facebook & Myspace) private because I am a private person. I hide almost everything to not let people worry about me. And that's why every smile of mine hides a hidden agenda. And pictures I tend to take as ignorant as I can as that's how I am when I in front of cameras. I'm a camera shy person to be honest. But how does Caesar related to my personal profile?

William Shakespeare wrote a stack of poems titled Julius Caesar who got killed by Brutus before he could be crowned as king. The poem then successfully became famous in stage acting, which then came out the line of "Caesar must die! Caesar must die! Caesar must die!" in An Unfortunate Event. But to act as Caesar, one must know how to hide emotions but feels the emotions, plays the role very well and prevent from being stressed. Because acting on stage is way too different from acting in front of camera. You've to practice a lot of times to get the correct and perfect emotion for a character which brings emotions to audience. Therefore, I'm Caesar by act and heart because I can hide my real emotions but fake the truth (act).

Not only that, I take risks by any changes like curse, mocks and scolds as how I take hatemails openly and laugh. I do not reply back to hatemails because I see myself as people's first statement of impression - arrogant.

But then, I'm not as arrogant as you think. I have a face of a poker, what do you expect?

In Between Shisha & Love

First of all, congratulations to everyone who did their interpretive speech today. Good job everyone! Heheheh ♥

So anyhow, I was the third person to engage with everyone in the class. Honestly, I wasn't really prepared. I had a cue card in my hand but I left it on the table because I told myself "Don't always rely on anything" and when I stood, I was kinda shaky. Yes, I was mumbling a lot.

When I saw Su Ann did the timer sign I knew I didn't have much time to interpret my speech so I left the last part of my speech. I did not want to say "good girl" but actually I wanted to say:-

"I had to choose in between favoritism and forever otherwise another party would make the decision for me and I chose to be child of lesser of God. Instead of getting married in such an early age, I'd rather lose my love than losing my pride. I'd want to stand in my own riptide right now - not in someone else's riptide. I would want to float in my own land because I have so many things that I need to do - I don't want to focus at only one person. If I ended in choosing marriage, I wouldn't be standing here telling you a story."

And yes, I chose nothing. I cut down my shisha from everyday to at least three times a week and I don't care about my about boyfriend anymore. I'm not afraid to walk this world alone because I know the right path on where I'm standing now.

Again, do not always rely on someone or a thing to tell something you want to tell. Let it be natural xD

Hidden Message in Nowadays Metal Songs: Epilogue II

It's three in the morning people! :) Hahaha anyhow, here in this post I would like to conclude my survey results bla bla bla and thank you so much for sparing your time answering mine ♥

So, upon my surveys through Facebook, e-mails and MSN - nine out of seventeen students who have answered my survey (this excludes the ones do not answer my survey) said the first thought of metal (rock) music is noisy. And many too dislike the genre because of the melody and have never had an interest in the genre before.

Upon my survey papers, nine out of thirty people love and found that metal genre is an awesome genre and tend to scream whenever they listen to it. Somehow, the remaining of these thirty people felt annoyed by the melody, drum beats and singer's screamer as they could not understand such things. Trust me, when I first heard Drop Dead Gorgeous band, I literally wanted to bang head on the wall but as you see, because of this band I started to listen such bands like the Devil Wears Prada, Emarosa, Decypher Down and many more. No doubt these bands are an amazing band. But hey, Christianity bands are good too like Skillt and Falling Up. Heehehhe

So people, do remember - if you are stressed, just blast your ears with music!

Hidden Message in Nowadays Metal Songs Part III

Eh apa ini humans?! No replies for kita punya survey ke? Like this la. Haiya. Anything la. No need to answer our surveys already la. Not us will lose mark also hehehe :P. You yang akan kehilangan markah hehe.

Okay okay I'm back to elaborate more about my topic. Previous post was about my speech - yes I didn't finish it so I had to explain it at here but now I'm back because I forgot to talk about trance metalcore - I missed this subculture of metal genre. Godamnit.

Okay anyway, to whoever that loves to dance, do check out Attack Attack!'s trance song called Shut Your Mouth (featuring McSwagger). Now, Attack Attack! is a metalcore band but they do sing trance songs. They're widely famous but not through mainstream somehow their self-titled album was on top of the billboard. Isn't that awesome?

Shut Your Mouth - is all about love and break relationship.

Hidden Message in Nowadays Metal Songs: Epilogue

Okay - I thought I screwed my speech. I do really thought! Five minutes are too little for me. Okay and since I didn't have enough time to explain in the class for the last song - The Last Night by Skillet, here's the brief part about the song :-

John Cooper (singer) said the story behind this song is real - the character, the storyline are all real. A girl, who thinks she brought disaster to her family wants to commit suicide because she had a terrible family and no friends at all. Nobody knows that every night she cuts herself. And one day, John and his wife (guitarist) meet the girl - sit down and talk to her. John says, "You're passionate and we understand you have a friend and that is God. All you gotta do is to pray to Him whenever you're down."

So from there - the song came up and is dedicated to her. The best part about behind this story is that Skillet themselves went to the girl's house, confronted her and made her happy. Oh I wish Ville Valo came to me and kissed my forehead -____-

So there! So I'd like to conclude my epilogue of my speech (which actually I had no time to say this in the class) with the video of The Last Night. Okay, not forcing you to watch but Ms Cheryl if you're reading this, do watch. I got goose bumps whenever I watch this and I don't know about you :)

Hidden Message in Nowadays Metal Songs Part II

Everyone's feeling stressful. I know. I'm getting pissed off with everything including myself and honestly, this is the best time for me to tell you about the hidden message.

I never knew what was my goal or achievement in this persuasive speech until I found out that this genre (metal) can actually distress listeners' minds. Seriously, I'm feeling it right now. Well actually depends on what type of metal you're tuning in to. Metal is a genre and it has so many subcultures. I'm distressing myself with aggressive metal so mind me.

You see ~ upon my survey - a few people from other classes answered mine. Sorry but seriously I really don't have everyone's email or probably you're not even in my Facebook list. I've had sent my survey through e-mail and inbox and only A FEW of them replied. Seriously a few. But many have answered through my survey paper. I thank you all a lot.

So okay - many have answered almost the same thing; metal is very noisy and irritating. Never mind, I understand you but you see, power ballad is also one of metal's subcultures. Again, I'm not tryna convince you to listen to metal songs or even rock songs but just take a listen at least one song. Hear properly on their lyrics upon the words. There's a hidden message. And if you can't understand, try and watch the music video.

Not all metal songs nowadays are like last time. You see - great musicians are considered great because of the music that they're playing; the talents and the "unique selling point" and great singers are great because they managed to convey a message to audience/listeners in their own way.

Take this as an example - you're tuning to a sad song assuming Backstreet Boys song Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely; you understand the message of the song and you probably can feel goose bumps and so on - same thing goes to metal songs if you understood the hidden message. Okay, the songs might be a bit trashy and uncomfortable for you to tune it but you know ~ that's how we express our feelings. You know, rock people do have feelings.

Hidden Message in Nowadays Metal Songs

And so, my persuasive speech is all about the hidden message in nowadays metal songs and I realized I've been listening to metal for more than errr wait. Lemme count ~ Okay I can't even remember.

Anyway, according to a source, metal, which is also known as rock music is discovered in America and United Kingdom in the late 1960s. But later on, I'm not gonna talk about metal songs in 60s or 70s.

Now beforehand, wait ~ I'm not tryna convince all of you to listen to metal (which I mean rock too) but take a few minutes to watch this video and understand the hidden message about it:-

In my speech, I'll be sticking up a few more bands and tell you the differences about metal songs in 1980s and now. That's for now.
