My views on the 1st batch!

Right, so those "lucky" ones got the 1st round of presentation. Me included haha. Anyway, here are my opinions! (;

Kiru - I was actually pretty amazed when I saw Kiru went out w/o any cue cards. I was like "Whoa, you go Kiru!" Well to me, Kiru spent a lot of time in his introduction (coconut seller, I like this example hee) so he didn't really get to touch in detail w/ the main points, which is critical in persuading people. But all in all, it's nice seeing Kiru in a different light, doing other genres than humour speech. Looking forward as usual! Oh, btw you the man, got the guts to go first HAHA. :P

Hadi - Hullo Hadi! Hadi's speech felt more humorous than persuading LOL. I think he did great w/ beautify & structuring of the speech, very nice to listen to actually. Voice projection is there, persuading feeling is sorta there but he seemed so jovial haha. Well done! Negaraku indeed!

Yika - It's quite obvious Yika was nervous from her voice and manner. A lil stiff but who isn't scared of presenting to everyone right? She has the guts to volunteer as the third speaker! Good job! Used a lot of metal jargon, should explain more but understandable given the time pressure. Like the fact she provided lyrics examples for everyone! (:

Jia Xin - LOUD! I think it's her trademark heehee good! Delivered well. Managed to get everyone's attention. & to me it's the most important element. Why would you even want to give a speech, what more persuade people, if you don't have the crowd's attention. Agree? Nice one JX!

Sarene - Nervous hee. Referred a lot to cue cards. Tone a lil soft. But a very good topic & she done a good research to it. Kudos for that! Sarene's grooming was great! Miss Cheryl should be giving full marks for grooming hee. (;

Su Ann - Tone of voice, check. Good points, structured nicely, of course, you have a flair in writing Su Ann! Should think about losing the sunnies hanging at your top, it's a lil distracting. Should keep cue cards further away when reading the facts from NEDA. Looking forward!

Siew Mun - A rather shaky introduction, but gotten stronger after that. Good in the sense you did mention and explained the jargon of IVTV! (I learnt smtg new thank you!). Improve on tone of voice. A lil distracting when putting each cue cards down on the table. Good luck!

Cecilia - Swiping of the fringe distracting, haha I think everyone knows about this darling. How much did Fikri & Kiru counted? HOHO. Eye contact mostly to the left side of the class, should direct eye contact to everyone. Tone of voice there, good good! Looking forward for speech test! ((: No pressure darling!

Wei Ling - Nice in the sense you played w/ the crowd! (A show of hands for Power Ranges including Miss Cheryl hee; a chorus of "BARNEY!!!" when you asked what cartoons we watch) Eye contact good! Provided a good approach of fright emotion to attract people and speech was animated! Yays!

CY - Tone of voice too soft, cannot grasp hold of audience. Nerves got the best of you lahh sayang, chill and clear your mind. I believe you can give us equally good speech like your jungle tracking one hee. Good ending, I like! (((:

Mindy - Tone of voice present. Humourous, garnerning audience's attention. Informative in the sense of explaining what's BBM. Paid too much attention to examples, didn't really emphasize about the main points. Good ending! Looking forward weeeeeeeeeeee! Let's all go buy Blackberry hoho.

Aaron - Hands at the back, like the soldier position a bit stiff & distracting. Eye contact bias only to Miss Cheryl chehhh hahah kidding. Tone of voice good! Very structured speech, let loose a bit yeahh? Try not to refer too much to cue cards! But good & interesting!

Christy - Last speaker on Monday! Hand gestures distracting lahh woman! Try keeping both hands to the cue cards? At least, your gestures would be restricted. (: Eye contact good! Should include more points. But good examples given . Sufficient. Wee!

Okay my hand pain. :P Wishing all the best to those presenting later. I won't be able to sit it! Aww man! :( Good luck!!
