WE are getting distracted!

The distractions of social networking websites are rather subtle to the point that we barely realize it, therefore we don't acknowledge it. Though they have their benefits, such as enabling users to keep in contact with distant friends and family, social networking websites also have a downside.
Back in the day, we would hear of fishing at lakes, shooting some basketball hoops, reading books or even cooking or dancing. Now, we still do have those activities, but don't appreciate them enough to realize what we would be missing if they were gone, because these activities are slowly decreasing. Nowadays, we rarely hear of people going to the lake to fish or even cooking just to try out or come up with new recipes. We spend so much of our time on social networking websites such as Facebook that we don't stop to notice how time consuming it is.
It is so time consuming that we are not spending our precious time studying or doing our hobbies. The simple things in life matter as well, and sometimes those are the best things in life, so do not let just another man-made invention be the center of your lives. By doing so, we unconsciously pass down simple values such as hobbies, to our future generations, so they do not lose their appreciation for it.
